Tom Schommer has always been committed to making our community better. Whether during his time serving on various boards and committees in the community, being a youth mentor, coach, or running his own small business, he has put his neighbors first.
Tom Schommer's campaign for Mayor of Norfolk is about ensuring that Norfolk thrives, giving small business owners the opportunity to succeed, recruiting new businesses and industry to Norfolk, and doing his part to make Norfolk an even better place to live and raise a family.
Tom is determined to restore growth and optimism to Norfolk by believing in and bringing people together.
Family Values
Faith, family, common sense, and personal responsibility have always come first in the Schommer household.
Today, Tom and his wife Linn are raising Ryan and Jordyn with those values. Linn, who knows first-hand the importance of caring for others, is a Clinical Lab Scientist at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk.
Tom's oldest daughter Lacy is employed by Creighton University in Omaha while his daughter Amy is a senior at Concordia University in Seward, NE.
Business Leader
Tom Schommer has helped grow a family-run Norfolk company, Telebeep Wireless into an industry leader.
As a small businessman, Tom has developed methods of empowering people that encourage different interests to work together towards a common goal.
Tom Schommer will continue to work hard to ensure that our local economy thrives, giving small business owners the opportunity to succeed.
Tom will be very deliberate about recruiting new business and industry to Norfolk that will create higher paying jobs.
