Can Make Things Happen
NORFOLK — Writing a letter to the editor is not something I typically do. However, I feel compelled to voice my opinion on our fast-approaching mayoral election.

While I know both candidates and find both to be caring individuals who are easy to work with, I will be casting my vote for Tom Schommer this November.

Others have said they love our city just the way it is and don’t want it to change. I, too, love Norfolk. But I want to see it thrive into the future. I know for that to happen, there must be change.

We need a mayor like Tom who has shown strong leadership and will stand up for what he believes. We need Tom as our mayor to facilitate growth in our city by building effective relationships and bringing people together for a common goal — the future success of Norfolk.

Tom is someone who has proven he can make things happen. It is obvious to me we share the same values of family and community and this is why I will cast my vote for him this November.
