Conservative Viewpoint
NORFOLK — We are indeed fortunate in Norfolk to have two intelligent, high-achieving candidates of outstanding character running for mayor this November.

Our choice and endorsement of a candidate is therefore based mainly on the belief that Tom Schommer would best personify and enact the mayor position from an appropriately conservative and constructive viewpoint.

Tom has been a successful business owner and has led an active and productive role in many community service business and social organizations, as well as being a past recent chairman of the Madison County Republican Party. These positions and activities have shown his stand on platform issues would most likely align well with ours and also a majority of Madison County taxpaying citizens.
