Norfolk at a Crossroads
NORFOLK — As the past president of the Norfolk Youth Leadership Council, I would like to take this time to add some perspective to the mayoral election.

I was proud to see the youth council put on the recent mayoral discussion with the intent to better educate Norfolkans with the choice they face in this race.

The city of Norfolk now finds itself at a crossroads. Norfolk has the opportunity to develop into a whole new dimension to bring our youth back to raise families and prosper or the choice to stay stagnant and be content with things the way they are for as long as we are able to keep them.

These times call for a well-prepared leader of vision and forward thinking. After what I have witnessed and hope for this community, I believe Tom Schommer is what we need to move Norfolk ahead.
