Opponent is more liberal
NORFOLK — We think it is time for Norfolk to have strong, visionary leadership and we also believe Tom Schommer is the man for the job.

As a business owner in Norfolk for a number of years, he has built connections with other businessmen and women here. He lives in Norfolk and his children attend school here. He is committed to Norfolk as the center of his family’s life and livelihood.

Mr. Schommer has detailed a specific plan to actively communicate face to face on a regular basis (monthly or quarterly) with other bureaucracies in city and even county government to bring about more uniform methods of doing the city and county’s business so that the government is more streamlined and efficient with the taxpayer’s money.

His opponent, whom we believe to be more liberal in her approach to governance, is prone to using fine rhetoric that sounds very good. However, we don’t believe she has the experience of making the hard decisions having to manage a budget, payroll and keep everyone, including customers, satisfied as does Mr. Schommer, who has demonstrated ability in these areas over a longer period of years.

The taxpayers of this city want clear, decisive, strong leadership, a proven track record, not just fine~sounding rhetoric. We want action that moves Norfolk forward into the 21st century. Tom Schommer is the man to take us there.
